Rooted Together strengthens the well-being, safety, and resilience of communities most impacted by inequity in San Mateo County. We work alongside residents who face barriers created by systemic racism, economic instability, immigration enforcement, disability discrimination, language exclusion, and systems not built with them in mind. Together, we build trusted relationships, culturally grounded care, and community‑led support so that every person can participate fully, remain rooted in their community, and reach their full potential.

Rooted Together is a fiscally sponsored project of Community Initiatives, a Bay Area–based nonprofit that supports public benefit projects with the infrastructure they need to thrive.
